Alice-in-Wonderland Inspired MOMMY’S HOSPITAL GOODIE BAG

     Mommy Goodie Bag

This past weekend kicked-off a HUGE baby boom for my extended family.  Between my mom and dad’s side there are FIVE babies expected in the next 2 1/2 months – four to first time mommies!  Its even more fun because the cousins on both sides know each other.  My parents are from the same small town, most of my relatives live in the area, etc.  So my cousins on my mom’s side played with my cousins on my dad’s side at least 2-3 times per year growing up.

The first of the five was born on Saturday – a gorgeous little 9 lb. 10 oz. sweetie.  I’d share pictures but don’t want to hassle my cousin during her first few days with the new little angel.

The little lady’s nursery has an adorable Alice-in-Wonderland theme – can’t beat a girly nursery in my opinion!  For the main gift I made a wall hanging based on that story.  I had been inspired by some Google images of tags for Alice-themed parties and decided to incorporate it with a quote from the book I absolutely adore:

“Actually the best gift you could have given her was a lifetime of adventures…” Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

Who wouldn’t want their children to have a “lifetime of adventures”?  In fact, who wouldn’t want a lifetime of adventures for themself?

I have seen a picture of this in the nursery and it looks really cute – not nearly as shiny as it appears in my photo.

I also had seen some cute Mom hospital goodie bags around and decided to create my own.  Here’s what  I came up with – based on the theme, of course:

Pretty obvious…snacks for the hospital which included granola bars, jelly beans, chips, etc.  Oh, and some Doublemint gum which we always used to sneak out of my grandpa’s drawer as kids:)

Her favorite (according to her own mama!)

I’ve shown you the  “Create” bracelet before – here’s how I packaged it.  This was the only piece I intended for her to open the day of the shower.  I LOVE how it turned out:

This was a little tricky.  I opted to send some Epsom salts, some large pads (anyone who’s had kids knows why:), and some hand lotion.

I haven’t heard if she remembered to take the goodie bag to the hospital but I like to think that she enjoyed her snacks post-birth while cuddling that little sweetie:)  It makes my heart SO happy to think of all my cousins (AND sister-in-law!!) becoming mommies.

Thanks for taking a look!

Blue Skies & Blessings, Lindsey
