Clean Enough!! {Free Printable}

Our House Cover

Some of my friends LIKE TO and ARE GOOD AT keeping house.  Me?  Not really.  As a kid I was a S-L-O-B – I didn’t want to clean or care if things were tidy.

As an adult I’m much better.  I still don’t like cleaning but I do it and appreciate the results.  This summer I developed a plan that helped and stuck with it during the beginning of the school year when daycare started back up again.

And then my little daycare doubled in size in November!!

We went from being my three (5, 3, 1) plus one infant to seven kids.  To but it in numerical order – yep, I’m a dork:) – that’s a 7 week-old, a 7 month-old, a 1-year-old, a 2-year-old, a 3-year-old, a 4-year-old,  and a 5-year-old.  Another word for it?  Pretty busy! {Side note:  To all you bigger home daycares out there – bless you!}

The days are equally enjoyable – the more the merrier if you will – but the housework has been “let go” with the increase in kiddos.  I’ve been beating myself up a bit about it and then remembered this quote… PERFECT!!

Is my home always neat?  Very rarely actually – toys everywhere, art supplies all over the table, socks EVERYWHERE! (How? don’t know really.  Mine won’t keep them on, the daycare kids are always losing theirs.)

Is my home “CLEAN ENOUGH to be healthy”?  Yep.

And that’s all it needs to be because I’m:

  1. Not defined by the tidiness of my home.
  2. Comfortable with a little {controlled} chaos.
  3. Focused on creating fun memories for our family and the daycare kiddos.

Want a reminder of this truth?  Feel free to click and print one of the options below.

Miss Silly (5) had fun helping me select colors and backgrounds thus the multiple options.  Can you guess which was highly influenced by her? (HINT: She just had a Rainbow Party:))

The red and white version – for the Christmas season, of course!  Cut yourself some slack this holiday season – there’s memories to be made – and I’m guessing they’ll be just as great with a little clutter around!!

Thanks for taking a look.

Blue Skies and Blessings,

    I chuckled when I saw this at Mop It Up Mondays. I always feel like everyone has a cleaner house than me. And I don’t have little kids anymore. But it’s not “dirty” just not immaculate. 🙂 I like your philosophy. Clean enough to be healthy is good enough for me! 🙂 I’ve got more fun things to do than clean!

    I agree completely! I’d much rather be having fun with the kids than cleaning the house! Even though my kids are grown ups now and I still have one living at home, there are so many other things I’d rather be doing. So the cleaning gets done and my house is healthy but certainly not sterile! Thanks for the reminder!

      Sorry this didn’t work out for you! If you left click on the option you like so that it opens in a new window and then print from your browser it should print at 8×10 just fine. I’ve tested over here and that should work. If not, please send me an e-mail ( and I’ll send it to you direct. Sorry for any confusion!! -Lindsey
