Ooey Gooey Haystack Cookie {No-Bake}

Not the prettiest cookie – but SOOO delicious!

“H” was for Horse at daycare this week and we made treats, of course! No better Friday Fun Food during Horse Week than a Haystack cookie!  I looked up a couple recipes, each with their own advantages (aka chocolate and oats in one, butterscotch, peanut butter, and chow mein noodles in the other) and thought why settle???

The result is AMAZING!  As in my kids  were eating these for snack while I began typing this since I felt the need to share them TONIGHT:)

The two inspiration recipes can be found here (chocolate and oats) and here (butterscotch, peanut butter, and chow mein noodles).

Ready for some ooey gooey deliciousness?

Caution:  This treat has been know to cause tantrums when individual portions are finished.  If this should occur you have two options:  1) Cave in and provide your husband with another one OR 2) Shove the rest into your own mouth while telling the kids “Sorry kiddos, there’s no more!”  The choice is yours:)

Want the recipe?  Feel free to print the Haystack Cookie Recipe or “Pin It” for future use!

I’m off to watch a movie.  If I’m good I’ll have one of these to go with it.  If I’m not it will be at least two…oh the temptation.

As always, please let me know if you try these.  Feedback always appreciated.

Thanks for taking a look!

Blue Skies, Pumpkin Pies, and Blessings,

    Thank you for dropping by my kitchen at Tumbleweed Contessa to leave these wonderful cookies on our Holiday Cookie Exchange. My mom made these all the time when I was a kid. Please come back to visit often.

    Thanks so much for linking up at One Creative Weekend! I used to make these in college. We used to have contest to come up with the most creative name–based on the appearance of the cookie. The names were all family friendly, but they were pretty gross! Thanks for the memories!
